Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri is hopeful that Ngolo Kante, who missed the final two games of the season following a hamstring injury will be available for Europa League final against Arsenal after the Frenchman joined teammates for training on Tuesday.
‘We are trying to recover Kante,’ said Sarri. ‘He had a part of the training on Monday with the group, so we are optimistic.
‘I think he will be able to play the final. Rudiger no chance. And Loftus-Cheek and Callum are all out. The only one we can recover is Kante.’
Gary Cahill who is out of contract and set to leave on at free at the end of the season joined teammates.
Sarri will be able to name 12 substitutes for the final in Baku.
There was however no sign of our-of-favour Danny Drinkwater, who has not featured since the Community Shield in August.
