Injury crisis deepens for Real Madrid with the latest ailment coming from Luka Modric during Croatia’s clash with Wales.
The midfielder is now doubtful for the upcoming clash with Real Mallorca on Saturday.
Modric sustained a blow to his right thigh in the 1-1 draw with Gareth Bale’s side forcing him out of the game in the late stages, and he will now have to wait two to three days to see how the injury progresses.
This injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for both the midfielder and Los Blancos.
Despite the fact that he is no longer a guaranteed starter, the club faces an intense run of fixtures, beginning with Real Mallorca and finishing with a trip to the Camp Nou, all with a visit to Istanbul to face Galatasaray sandwiched between them.
However, boss Zidane may elect not to risk Luka Modric in the Real Mallorca fixture, although this hardly helps the Frenchman as he also needs to monitor the injury to Toni Kroos and the fact that Casemiro is one booking away from a domestic suspension.
